College teachers carry out a series of summer social practice activities on urban digital management and intelligent manufacturing

In order to promote the cultivation of digital economy and intelligent manufacturing talents and further enhance students' practical ability, the college teachers led students to carry out summer social practice activities with the theme of " Integrated Development of Urban Digital Management and Intelligent Manufacturing " . This activity was led by teacher Su Yingsheng of the college, and more than 30 students from the School of Management Science and Engineering, the School of Statistics and other colleges went to Beijing Sitechi Information Technology Co., Ltd., Volvo Car Brand Experience Center (China) Chengdu Factory and National Supercomputing Chengdu Center for two months of in-depth research and learning.

Background of practical activities

The Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee proposed that education, science and technology, and talent are the three pillars of national strategic development. Innovation-driven development has become an important strategy for national modernization. In response to the national call, Su Yingsheng's teaching team designed this social practice activity, aiming to allow students to go deep into enterprises and research institutions, understand the latest technology applications and management models, and cultivate students' interdisciplinary integration and practical innovation capabilities.

Research content and form

This practical activity took the form of field observation, expert lectures, case analysis and interactive discussions. Students not only visited the core workplace of the company, but also had in-depth exchanges with industry experts. The activities included research and application in multiple cutting-edge fields such as digital management, intelligent manufacturing, and ultra-large-scale computing, covering a wide range of topics from urban data infrastructure construction to intelligent manufacturing technology innovation.

Visit Beijing Sitechi: Exploring the cornerstone of digital economy

June , teacher Su Yingsheng led the students to Beijing Sitechi Information Technology Co., Ltd. During the research at Beijing Sitechi Information Technology Co., Ltd., the students deeply understood the key role of data infrastructure in promoting digital and intelligent urban management. The company's head introduced in detail the company's leading technologies in cloud computing, big data analysis and intelligent data processing, especially how to optimize urban management efficiency and service quality through data-driven. Through field visits and expert explanations, the students fully realized the importance of data infrastructure to the construction of smart cities under the digital economy.

Volvo Cars Chengdu Plant: An Innovative Journey of Smart Manufacturing

July , teachers Su Yingsheng, Cai Luyao and Guo Jiani led students to the Volvo Car Brand Experience Center (China) Chengdu Factory to discuss the innovative application of intelligent manufacturing technology. By visiting Volvo's production line and technology display, students learned about the latest progress in modular production architecture, environmental design and automotive safety technology. As a benchmark company in the field of intelligent manufacturing, Volvo demonstrated through this research activity how to achieve the dual goals of green manufacturing and safety design while ensuring production efficiency.


National Supercomputing Center in Chengdu: High Performance Computing and Scientific Research Applications

August , students visited the National Supercomputing Center in Chengdu and visited the core computer room and data processing center. Students experienced how to process massive data through high-performance computing platforms and learned about the wide application of supercomputing in aerospace, intelligent manufacturing, life sciences and other fields. Through case analysis and interactive discussions, students combined the theoretical knowledge they learned with practical applications, further improving their understanding of high-performance computing and data processing capabilities.
