July 12 , 2024 , the launching ceremony of the fifth phase of the "Young Eagle Spreading Wings" elite talent training program was held at the Liulin campus. Teachers Wang Jun, Wang Haomin, Zhang Yang and other teachers from the School of Management Science and Engineering, as well as all trainees attended the launching ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Wang Jun first congratulated the students who passed the test and entered the training, and reviewed the history of this training. The "Young Eagle Spreads Wings" elite talent training program focuses on the cutting-edge trends of financial technology and digital intelligence technology. Based on the "artificial intelligence +" solution, it is project-oriented and focuses on cultivating students' ability to discover, recognize and solve problems. The training project was later transformed into a competition project, and won more than 10 national competition awards such as the Citi Cup, China College Student Computer Design Competition, and China Mobile Wutong Cup , as well as several provincial awards, which effectively improved students' engineering practice ability and financial technology literacy. Some students went to top universities at home and abroad for further studies (Berkeley, Singapore National University, etc.), and after graduation, they worked in top financial institutions, universities, etc. Finally, Professor Wang Jun encouraged the students to study hard, work hard, serve the actual needs, and strive to make achievements worthy of the times.

In the next stage of the summer training, trainees will learn the theoretical basis of deep learning under the guidance of full-time teachers, industry experts, and professional engineers.
