morning of July 12, 2024 , the "First Member Conference of the Digital Economy Professional Committee of Sichuan Higher Education Society" and the "Digital RMB and Digital Elderly Care Integration Innovation Development Seminar" were successfully held at the Guanghua Campus of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. The conference attracted more than 40 experts and scholars from different universities and industries such as Sichuan University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Sun Yat-sen University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Southwestern University of Finance and Economics to discuss cutting-edge topics in digital economy and digital elderly care. The conference was hosted by Professor Shuai Qinghong, Chairman of the Digital Economy Professional Committee of Sichuan Higher Education Society and Member of the Party Committee of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Chen Chuanwei, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Sichuan Higher Education Society, Professor Gui Fuqiang, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Professor Liu Bin, President of Sichuan Huaxin Modern Vocational College, Professor Wang Yu, Vice Dean of the School of Management Science and Engineering of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, and Zhang Jie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Institute of Digital Economy and Emerging Disciplines of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, delivered speeches. They expressed warm congratulations on the establishment of the Digital Economy Professional Committee of the Sichuan Higher Education Society and expressed their earnest expectations for the successful convening of the Seminar on the Innovative Development of the Integration of Digital RMB and Digital Aging.

After the opening ceremony, the seminar on "Digital RMB and the Innovative Development of Digital Elderly Care Integration" was held. Professor Li Qiang of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and Dr. Qin Yi of Sun Yat-sen University delivered keynote speeches on the latest research results and application cases of technology finance and digital RMB in the field of digital elderly care. In the roundtable discussion, participants conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on how digital RMB can help the integrated development of digital elderly care and how the digital economy can help the integration of industry and education. Industry experts and scholars put forward a number of constructive opinions, which provided valuable references for how the digital economy can help the integration of industry and education in teaching reform.

After the seminar, Associate Professor Li Chenglin, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Digital Economy Committee and Deputy Director of the Silver Economy and Pension Finance Research Center of Sichuan Vocational College of Finance and Economics, reported on the "Working Rules of the Digital Economy Committee of Sichuan Higher Education Society", which mainly include the purpose and scope, organizational structure, working mechanism, member management, finance and asset management, etc. Professor Shuai Qinghong, Chairman of the Digital Economy Committee, issued appointment letters to some members of the Digital Economy Committee.

Finally, Associate Professor Li Zhongjun, Director of the Department of E-commerce at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and Secretary-General of the Digital Economy Professional Committee, summarized the results of the meeting, read out the resolution of the meeting, and delivered the closing remarks. The successful holding of this conference has built a professional platform for mutual communication, exchange, and cooperation for digital economy professionals in Sichuan, deepened the participants' understanding of the new model of talent training for co-creation and practice of "industry-education integration, science and technology innovation integration, and vocational and general education integration", and also built a bridge for cooperation and development in related fields. In the future, the Digital Economy Professional Committee will continue to be committed to promoting exchanges and cooperation in related fields, and contribute to the integrated innovation and development of the digital economy and digital intelligence elderly care finance.
